Samsung SCH-A850 Review - A Review of the Samsung SCH-A850 Mobile Phone

The Samsung SCH-A850 is a camera phone that offers more convenience than the average cell phone. The attractive black and silver flip phone for Verizon Wireless features a VGA camera with digital zoom as well as MP3 capabilities - and other basic features.

The 0.3-mega pixel digital camera allows customers to take photos up to 640 X 480 pixels while on the go. The powerful camera features a digital and optical zoom lens, LED flash, auto-focus, shot mode, photo effects including color settings and photo quality settings. You can store your collection of photos on your phone in your internal photo album or send them to friends using the SCH-A850's Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). This feature allows you to send any pictures you wish to whomever you want via Verizon Wireless' Picture Messaging.

The SCH-A850 allows you to store MP3's and download features such as new JAVA games and wallpapers with its WAP 2.0 wireless web browser. Text messaging and picture viewing has never looked better and you will enjoy playing various mini-games on the SCH-A850's bright 65K-color, 128 X 160 pixel internal screen. The 96 X 64 pixel external screen is black and white - allowing for simplistic external call display.

The advanced speech recognition allows users to dial numbers, pull up contacts and even open applications all by the sound of your voice. Some keywords come preprogrammed in the SCH-A850 - thus, no pre-recording is required. The SCH-A850 makes your life easier - allowing you to go virtually hands-free - although its T9 text prediction technology and SMS, EMS and MMS make your hands-on experiences easier as well.

In addition, the SCH-A850 offers a speakerphone feature, organizer applications and 3.3 hours of talk time or 170 hours on standby with its standard battery.
